Dawn Hrelic, MD

Dr. Hrelic is a fellowship trained breast radiologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of breast cancer and benign breast disease. Dr. Hrelic performs interventional breast procedures including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations by mammogram, ultrasound, and MRI guidance. Her particular areas of interest include increased breast density as a risk factor in breast cancer, genetic/family history in determining cancer risk, and high risk screening protocols.

In her spare time, Dr. Hrelic enjoys chasing her daughter around on the beach, and beating her husband at tennis. There is nothing more important to Dr. Hrelic than faith and family. Other hobbies include skiing, horseback riding, hiking and travel.

Dr. Hrelic is also an animal lover and community servant. She is a long time volunteer with the SPCA and Ronald McDonald House charities. All of her four-legged family members have come to stay as foster failures. Giving back is important to Dr. Hrelic, and she encourages her daughter, students/residents, and friends to join her in local and global service efforts. Dr. Hrelic believes in fighting for equal access to care, and is a lifelong Albert Schweitzer Fellow.
