MCR Radiologists Adam Specht, MD, FACR and Peter Van Geertruyden, MD, FACR attended the 2023 American College of Radiology (ACR) Annual Meeting as councilor representatives for the Virginia Radiological Society (VRS). Drs. Specht and Van Geertruyden enjoyed engaging with radiologists from all over the country to discuss best practices and advocate for the specialty of Radiology.
The annual ACR meeting culminated in Capitol Hill Day, during which Drs. Specht and Van Geertruyden along with Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) Radiology Resident Dr. Michael Pender made office calls with staff from Representative Bobby Scott, Representative Jennifer Kiggans, Senator Tim Kaine, and Senator Mark Warner.
