Laura O'Neill, PA-C
PA O’Neill joined the MCR team in 2021 and works primarily at Sentara Norfolk General and Sentara Leigh Hospitals with an incredible team of knowledgeable, dedicated, and compassionate providers. Laura feels privileged to care for Interventional Radiology patients—she enjoys the procedural setting and is grateful for daily opportunities to discuss disease processes and procedures with patients while exploring their concerns and expectations.
PA O’Neill received her degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Georgia, where she was a CURO Honors Scholar and received the Hutchinson Research Apprenticeship to support her work on a team researching executive function and aphasia. After graduating, Laura was eager to care for patients and spent the next several years working as an AEMT in the 911 system in Fulton County, Georgia. Deciding she wanted a more impactful role in patient care, she moved to beautiful Norfolk, Virginia to attend EVMS’s Physician Assistant program and was selected for induction into the Pi Alpha National PA Honor Society upon graduation.
Laura enjoys spending her free time reading, painting, and giving her fiancé plenty of opportunities to show off his excellent cooking skills.
